Okay. Pre-surgery stuff is going fairly well.

I have:
- a wedge pillow so I can sleep elevated
- the really cushy eye pads to use for dressings (I definitely remember those being so much more comfortable than gauze pads the last time. The gauze rubbed the skin under my nose raw. It's like the worst runny nose ever).
- a whole lot of fruit cups, yogurt, pudding, jello and ice cream
- parboiled potatoes in the freezer for roasting later
- clean sheets on the bed
- all my comfy house clothes clean

I've also cleaned up the kitchen table and the living room, more or less. Kitchen's in reasonable shape and I'll get that cleaned up tomorrow. Bathrooms just need a quick once over.

I also wrote up a doc with all pertinent emergency information and sent the location of it to my parents with a copy of my advanced directives/Living Will and the password to my laptop (I absolutely trust they will not get into my laptop unless it is necessary. They do a very good job of respecting my privacy and autonomy). I seriously do not believe this is going to be necessary, but contingency planner here.

So tomorrow, I just need to finish up a couple cleaning things, take out the trash, pack up some stuff for Tuesday and relax as much as possible. I'm going to try to sleep in, and I'm getting a 90 minute massage in the afternoon. Then Dad and I are going out to dinner because he won't see me on Tuesday (he can't take off work and he's also not allowed to drive right now because his little dehydration incident hasn't completely been resolved yet and his doctor won't clear him to drive until that happens. We're hoping that'll happen when he sees her again on Thursday). I'm picking him up from work and we'll go to dinner, then come back to my place until my mom gets off work and picks him up.

And then I'll probably stay up a little later so I can eat again in hopes that I won't be absolutely famished in the morning. I will probably still be hungry, but seriously, my 12 hour fasting blood sugars average around 75 and that's just barely scraping the low end of normal. I'm hoping that eating something reasonably substantial later will bump it up just a smidge.
