My aunts and one of my cousins came to my mom's today, so I was over there most of the day. No one really expected a whole lot out of me, fortunately, because I got pretty tired pretty quickly. But I perked up a bit once I'd had something to eat. I got to play a little with the baby (he's about 6 weeks older than my nephew), but he's gotten too heavy for me to pick up right now and he's very wiggly and has a tendency to head-butt people, so I couldn't really hold him (getting hit in the face right now would be Bad). Mostly, I held a hand out while he was playing by my chair to keep him from conking his head on the chair or the table leg (he was trying to pull himself up. It's his newest trick). But he was enjoying himself, and I was having fun watching him and his big sisters. His oldest sister is 5 and she has a huge imagination. Pretty much all you need to do is comment on whatever she says and she was happy. The middle one is three and she spent most of the afternoon with my aunts, soaking up the one on one attention. Everyone had a pretty good time, I think. Well, my cousin and I had a moment where we were totally like "oh my God, {Aunt}'s husband is a Total.Complete.Asshole who needs to shut the fuck up", but eh. Could be worse.
Tomorrow, I'm going to church and then Mom is coming over to help me do laundry. Getting laundry into the washer is not a big deal. Getting it from the washer to the dryer and from the dryer to the laundry basket might be a bit harder. I'm allowed to bend, but if I do it too much, things get pretty painful. So Mom said she'd come do the bending parts for me. I'm sure by next weekend when I need to do laundry again, I'll be in better shape. I've been managing the dishwasher and doing things with the oven for a few days now.
