miss_lucy21It's 6:30 pm. It's also fucking snowing (and sticking, too, alas). I'm done in and going to bed.
I did go out today and took the pile of stuff to be altered to the alterations place. I found one pretty close to work, which is more convenient than the first place I found. Cost me $125 for all the alterations, but that's reworking the hems on a dress and three skirts and replacing the zipper on a pair of pants. The dress itself originally cost $80 and the skirts wete between $30 and $50, so probably worth it (note that I didn't pay full price for any of these items because I shop clearance racks almost exclusively, but even with the $26 for the hemming, I'm still coming out way ahead on the dress, since I bought it for 75% off. One of the skirts was also only $10, so that's also cheaper than it would have been full price).
I also went to the grocery, but the elevator in my building is out so I could only pick up a few things because I had to schlep them up to the apartment and I still have weight restrictions on lifting, anyway. But I got up here without too much trouble. Hopefully they will fix the elevator and I can go again tomorrow and get stuff for lunches.
