- Work: still making me make faces reminiscent of Duke Crocker on a (semi)bad day. But I have a long weekend this weekend and I will probably feel much better after that.
- I have tamed the hydra that is my bank/credit accounts. When I'm over-stressed, I tend to either 1)curl up in a ball and cry, 2) act like a squirrel on speed or 3) impulse spend. I didn't buy anything I didn't need or anything I hadn't really planned on buying, but I don't have the actual cash on hand to cover everything I bought. It's...fine. I'm trying very hard not to beat myself up over it. I can pay off what I bought within the next month or two. I have enough to cover all my bills. And aside from new running shoes, I won't need to buy anything else outside of my regular spending (groceries, gas, bills, etc) for a couple months.
- The new running shoes will need to get bought soon. Like, this weekend soon. The connective tissue in my right foot is unimpressed with the idea of training for a 10k and decided to make its displeasure known, so yeah, new shoes. But, I'm not actually running and I know what the shoes should feel like, so I don't have to go to the running store and I can take advantage of the back to school/end of summer clearance sales happening at several stores. I know at least one of them carries Asics, which play well with my feet. I get running shoes instead of walking shoes because running shoes are so much lighter and more comfortable. Running shoes are also shaped like my feet and there's usually no arch issues because I can adjust the laces, so it's not usually hard to find ones that will work. And by Friday, if I stick to the pool and ice and stretch and can continue to get away with wearing my Chacos to work (no one appeared to notice today. Or at least they didn't say anything if they did), my foot should be fine.
It's 7:30. I declare it late enough to go to bed.
