Reminder for later
Sep. 30th, 2015 06:20 pmIf I remember to look.
Anyway, this is week 2 of the doubled Intuniv. My blood pressure is decent- it's higher at night when the meds wear off, but it's not very low in the morning. Now, the time I took my blood pressure about 45 minutes after taking the meds, it was a somewhat alarming 90/66, but as I was planning to lie right back down and go to sleep, I just propped my legs up a bit and fell asleep. However, that does suggest that this needs to be a nighttime med, because it doesn't matter a ton if my blood pressure is low-ish if I'm asleep. It's supposed to be lower at that point anyway.
I am not sure if my current irritability is because last week was exhausting and this week isn't much better or if it's the med. If I lay low this weekend, and I'm still wanting to strangle co-workers through my computer screen on Monday, then it's probably not just that I needed some sleep and more food (too busy to notice I'm hungry the past several days. Body sense is the pretty much the first thing to go when my executive functioning is pushed too far).
The dry mouth, however, has been atrocious this week. I don't recall it being as bad last week, but that's not a thing I'd remember. I finally went and bought some lemon drops and cough drops because water wasn't cutting it. I can usually get by with water and an occasional cough drop, but I was starting to get over-hydrated, so yeah, time to switch tactics. I also bought some dry mouth spray, which I tried today, but I still needed a couple lemon drops. I'm wary of the mouth spray, because it's got xylitol in it, and my digestive system generally does not do well with xylitol or other sugar alcohols. But there's probably a miniscule amount in one spray and it seemed to be okay today, so maybe if used sparingly, it'll work.
Oh, and it's also gotten chilly here this week. Last week, it was still peeking into the 80s (26-ish C), although it wasn't staying there for much of the day before falling back into the 70s (lower 20s C). It wasn't getting super cold at night, either. Yeah. No. Yesterday, the day started out around 69F/20 C and then it rained all day. And it got down into the lower 50s last night (10-11C). Today, I don't think it ever went above 65F/18C. We're not going to see 70 for the foreseeable future and the nights are going to get into the high 40s (about 8C). Time to break out the jacket, I think.
