Oct. 31st, 2015 06:57 pmYes, I absolutely needed bronchitis. Totally a thing I needed to deal with.
Bleh. My inhaler is so far keeping me from having serious trouble. If I'm not moving around, it's mostly not bad. Walking across the room makes me cough, but not so badly that I'm wheezing. My sinuses, however, are pretty much clear. They're swollen, somewhat, but there's not the sludge up there that I'm used to getting. I did not go to the doctor because this bug has been going around work for about a month, and everyone who's gone to the doctor for it got told it's viral, get lots of fluids and rest, and here's an inhaler. I already have an inhaler. Plus inhaled steroids. And I'm sleeping okay, so I don't need the heavy duty cough syrup (and don't want it if I don't need it. My digestive system is having enough issues at the moment without adding narcotics to the mix). Plus, doctors have a tendency to give me antibiotics when this happens even if it is viral, because the asthma puts me at risk for pneumonia, and I prefer to not be a contributing factor to the rise of superbugs, thanks.
If I'm not feeling better enough to go back to work by Tuesday, then I'll call the doctor. And I know what to pay attention to if it were to become pneumonia and obviously if that sort of thing starts happening, I'll get some medical attention. But eh.
Although, given that this has been going around for like, a month, and I've just now caught it, means I'm probably doing something right in terms of immune system support.
