Jan. 6th, 2016 06:58 pmI saw the PDoc this morning. Since the past week has been better than I had been (not super, but better), we're going to give it a month before messing with the meds to see if I bounce back on my own. If not, then we'll fiddle with something. Probably the Prozac- she sounded more in favor of increasing it to 60mg than trying to find a different med. However, the Intuniv has been working well at the current dosage, so we're keeping in there indefinitely. Or, we will be, once I call the office in the morning, because they only sent over the refills for the Prozac and the Wellbutrin and not the one for the Intuniv. Which is the one I actually need this week- I have at least three weeks of the other two.
I don't know what she wrote the scripts for- if it was for 30 or for 90 days- but the insurance got pissy about my getting them at the pharmacy and they won't pay for them unless I do mail order. So I need to call and inform the insurance company that no, I will not be doing mail order and they need to flip whatever switch they need to flip in order for me to get my pills at the pharmacy. I am fine with 90 day scripts and the pharmacy will fill them, but I will be getting my meds at the pharmacy. This hasn't been an issue for a couple years, but I changed my insurance coverage for this year and apparently that reset a whole bunch of things, even though it's the exact same insurance company and my ID number didn't change at all. It's not a huge problem, but it's one I didn't really need this week (work is kicking my ass. My calendar was completely full from 9:30 this morning until 4:30 this afternoon. I think I got up from my desk about three times today in the whole time I was there).
So, wait and see. I'm okay with it- I'm not really in the mood to deal with a med switch at the moment or with increased side effects from a dose increase, even if they're probably temporary.
