I saw the PDoc this morning. Since the past week has been better than I had been (not super, but better), we're going to give it a month before messing with the meds to see if I bounce back on my own. If not, then we'll fiddle with something. Probably the Prozac- she sounded more in favor of increasing it to 60mg than trying to find a different med. However, the Intuniv has been working well at the current dosage, so we're keeping in there indefinitely. Or, we will be, once I call the office in the morning, because they only sent over the refills for the Prozac and the Wellbutrin and not the one for the Intuniv. Which is the one I actually need this week- I have at least three weeks of the other two.

I don't know what she wrote the scripts for- if it was for 30 or for 90 days- but the insurance got pissy about my getting them at the pharmacy and they won't pay for them unless I do mail order. So I need to call and inform the insurance company that no, I will not be doing mail order and they need to flip whatever switch they need to flip in order for me to get my pills at the pharmacy. I am fine with 90 day scripts and the pharmacy will fill them, but I will be getting my meds at the pharmacy. This hasn't been an issue for a couple years, but I changed my insurance coverage for this year and apparently that reset a whole bunch of things, even though it's the exact same insurance company and my ID number didn't change at all. It's not a huge problem, but it's one I didn't really need this week (work is kicking my ass. My calendar was completely full from 9:30 this morning until 4:30 this afternoon. I think I got up from my desk about three times today in the whole time I was there).

So, wait and see. I'm okay with it- I'm not really in the mood to deal with a med switch at the moment or with increased side effects from a dose increase, even if they're probably temporary.

For what it's worth I have the same problem with Prozac and my insurance. I've been on the same damned dose for about four years now and the physician will prescribe 90 days of it and the Lamotrigine and levothyroxine I'm on but the insurance will not allow the pharmacy to give me more than 30 days supply of the Prozac at a time but they are fine with me getting 90 days worth of Lamotrigine. I find this to be three flavored of messed up. But then, I'm on four daily medications one weekly and one as needed plus having two severe medication allergies so like you there's no way they are going to convince me to use a mail order pharmacy.
