Apr. 17th, 2016 07:52 am I am sitting here working up the energy to go through with my day- church, yes, but then we're helping with a service day at the synagogue, and I'm helping herd the cats that are Episcopalians and hoping to ensure no one does anything damaging to anyone else, inadvertently or otherwise (probably inadvertently). It helps that the synagogue invited us to participate, so presumably they're prepared somewhat for us, and our congregations have an excellent relationship, historically, but there's a lot of newer people at my church who weren't around for some of that history, and the two congregations haven't had a lot of interaction with each other the past couple of years. Not because of anything anyone said or did, but we were having some stuff going on and they were having some stuff going on and it was just taking care of our own things for a while. Things are more stable now, so both sides are exploring more ways to come together again.
But my body has figured out we're on vacation this week, and is trying to do the Vacation Crash. Which doesn't make for having super amounts of energy for anything, let alone something intensely social. I just need to hold this off until this afternoon- I should be done by 2 at the latest, I think- and then it can totally have the next 36 hours to do whatever it needs to do. Right. Good deal I'm stubborn, right?
