Jan. 9th, 2019 05:06 pmSomehow, and I have no idea how this could have happened, but I managed to score within normal ranges on the spirometry test today at the allergists, even though I choked through it and the machine basically said I sucked at it. So, that was something at least.
My doctor says nothing's infected and my lungs are totally clear, so no real reason for antibiotics or prednisone, and he's liberal with the antibiotics, particularly in my case, because I've got an immune deficiency (both due to an issue with my immune system and long term steroid use) and chronic sinusitis caused by a congenital sinus defect so there are times when preventative antibiotics are a really good idea. But this is a wait it out sort of thing, so I shall continue to wait it out. At least I can hear today and my ears have mostly stopped popping every time I move my jaw. I still sound absolutely horrible, but I don't actually feel horrible. So that's something, I suppose.
That was better than the dentist's appointment this morning where I endured having my teeth cleaned (it hits so many of my sensory buttons. I hate it) and found that I've cracked another filling and that allowed another cavity in that tooth to form, so I need yet another filling. I think I have about five teeth in my mouth that don't have a filling in them at this point. Gotta do it this month because I won't have dental insurance next month, so I'll be taking a half day in two weeks to let them fix it. Meh.
