Danny woke up, realizing suddenly he was alone in the bed. This wasn't necessarily unusual; Steve routinely woke up earlier than he did to go swimming or running. But, it felt excessively early. Danny rolled over to check the clock. 2:38 am. Steve had better not be swimming at this hour, he thought as he got up.
