Enlightening in odd ways. I didn't keep track of what episode I was watching when I thought of things, so just consider it a melange of the past 3 new episodes.

-Oh, Tony. Oh, oh, Tony. Do NOT get back with your ex. Do not do it. She is manipulating the hell out of you and I'm getting the impression she did the same damn thing to you 9 years ago. Honestly, that episode explained SOOOOO much about Tony. Almost as much as the episode where we met his father.

- Thank God for Ducky. Really. Now, if Tony would listen to what Ducky told him, he would be much better off. However, Tony is a stubborn SOB and yes, yes, he has been lying to himself for probably his entire adult life, so I'm willing to bet my meager wallet contents that he won't.

- I know Gibbs thought he was doing Tony a favor by forcing him to work with Wendy. In his really not very helpful way- he thinks that pushing Tony beyond his limits is going to be good for him. Thing was, how could he not see that Tony looked like he wanted to puke and hide under the bed? Why would you force that on someone? Encouraging him to reconnect with her is one thing, pushing her on him is another, particularly since Gibbs was apparently around when the engagement fell apart. (And oh, God, poor Tony. Getting effectively left at the altar would have torn him into tiny, tiny little pieces). Gibbs, seriously, WTF are you doing with Tony? Whatever it is, unless you're actually trying to drive him over the cliff, you're doing it wrong. I know you're bad at this kind of thing, but you've got to see you're not helping. You have people around you who are much better at this kind of thing, like, oh, I don't know, Ducky. Or even Ziva- she gets Tony (and I suspect she's kind of trying to stand under him with a safety net to pick up the pieces as it is). Use your resources, man.

- Jamie Lee Curtis was...interesting. She was pretty convincing as someone who plays mind games for a living (I think she's a pretty damn good actress, annoying Activa commercials aside, so I wasn't exactly surprised). I don't think, however, that she and Gibbs would be a good match, which they were clearly trying to set up. I don't think that would be good for Gibbs at all with his current mindset, which I'm really thinking is not at his best, although, I'm not sure he's really been in the best frame of mind for the last 20 years, so at some point I guess that becomes part of him, but he's...not right at the moment. I'm sure he's savvy enough to not let her snowball him, but for the sake of the people around him I think this is not a good idea.

- Hmm. This arms dealer thing, on one hand, we've been here before. On the other hand, nice set up. I didn't realize it wasn't going to get resolved until it all of a sudden wasn't (granted, that could be because I was distracted by people coming home and asking me questions and dinner, etc, while I was watching, so I lost sense of the timing).

- Oh, McGee, you ducked the biggest, baddest bomb ever. Although your rule 1 of not lying to Gibbs is a very good rule.

-And the reaction to what's-his-face's revelation that he's gay was great. That's comforting, to me, that a conversation like that can be just so matter of fact and, "yeah, ok, that's cool" on television, because I remember when that would have not been the case (and I'm not that old, either). At the same time, I totally understand his hesitation to spread that around. It was pretty realistic all around. Good job, writers and actors!
