miss_lucy21: Steve McGarrett & Danny Williams sitting on a curb with house and truck in background (steve 'n danno)
[personal profile] miss_lucy21
Since I'm the only one in the house who follows H50, I'm perpetually behind in episodes. Fortunately, the little 2 week mini-hiatus helped with that, although I still have one left before I'm completely caught up.

"Kupale"
- So, Steve's probably really tired, hungry, a little disoriented because of the need to flip the switch from military from civilian and he comes home to find...that. Yeah, I completely sympathize with the aneurysm face.

- Good move, Danny, cutting Max off mid time-travel argument. Because Steve was getting that "I am not dealing right now" face and would have probably said something regrettable. And saying regrettable things to Max doesn't end well for Steve. Makes up a tiny bit for practically setting the house on fire. A little.

- I love the re-enactments. This show is continuing to make me need to add Hawaiian history books to my already very long reading list (why, yes, I *am* a history geek, does it show?)

- Yay for more Kono time! I'd been missing her. She is the sweetest, kick-ass girl ever.

- And Steve is continuing to have the "I am not dealing" face.

- Cargument!! And damn, the cranky is really showing there, guys. You're coming close to hitting below the belt.

- Ah, Chin has impeccable timing. As always.

- Of *course* Steve has a smoke grenade in the trunk.

- I missed the guest star listings (distracted by Steve and Danny arguing over the wreck of a house), so I was sitting here going "is that Apolo Ohno? Or am I nuts?" No, not crazy. Good to know. He actually did a pretty decent job, acting wise.

- Cargument part 2. These two are just *prickly* today. Well, Danny's always prickly. His prickliness is just smacking into Steve's bad mood. I mean, yeah, they argue all the time, but it's usually a little less fraught.

- And there's your "toe across the line of acceptable" move, right there. Although I was amused that Danny was the one who went into the water to play lifeguard.

-Don't yell at Kono, guys. She asked a reasonable question of someone who might have had the answer. She's still a rookie, even if she manages to make you forget it all the time.

- And Steve just reached the end of his patience. Fortunately, he has good aim.

- Way to admit you were wrong, Steve. Good job.

- You are a good daddy, Danno. And you have good friends. Yay for team!

"Lekio"
- Overprotective much, Danno? Not that we didn't know that. Although, it was good to see that Grace seems ok after being kidnapped.

- How in the hell does a Coroners' van get stolen from a crime scene?

- Well, that was kinda dumb. I certainly hope the body-stealing acolytes wind up shedding some light on the whole thing because I agree with Danny and Steve that it was the stupidest thing.

- Someone's been in therapy before, eh, Steve?

- Hey, Danny? When Steve thinks you're being paranoid and overreacting, that should be a sign.

- James Caan and Scott Caan together was priceless. Scott looked like he was trying not to crack up the whole time in that first scene on the boat. And Tony is totally Danny Williams in 30 years or so, speech patterns and everything. Very nice.

- Well, at least this episode's "over the line" moment involved letting someone help with the case who probably shouldn't, rather than property damage and bodily harm.

- This show really does have a habit of being hard to follow sometimes. I don't mind plot twists, but sometimes it gets a little out of hand.
