In retrospect, I was probably not really in the mood to be Hawaii Five-0 world today (the beginning of fall is not being kind to my sinuses and lungs), but I needed to know what happened. So, this may be the crankiest review you read all day.

-Well. That was um. Exciting. For an opening.
-"Were me and Mary just a cover too?" Oh, burn. Well deserved burn.
- Steve is so realistically and justifiably angry here.
- Yeah, I don't think Steve is interested in understanding right now, Mom. I mean, there are ways in which you mess up your kids unintentionally. Every parent does that in some way, and for the most part, that's okay. We're none of us perfect. But, um, yeah, this is a step beyond, Doris. Several steps, even.
- What the fuckity fuck was that with the metallic claw? Did I drop into the X-Men or something?
- Oh, Danny. Thank you for cutting right to the heart of the matter as always.
- You know, I kind of expected Kono to be a little more angry about this.
- In other circumstances, I think I'd downright love Doris.
- Hi Catherine! Please, join us in this madcap adventure. If for no other reason than you may be a voice of sanity in all of this.
- There's a hell of a lot of father-killing going on in this show.
- Ahhh. Okay. This makes more sense, that Chin tried to save both of them. That's much more in character.
- Dear God, Doris. You are really bad at small talk. I get that you probably want to know everything that's happened in the last 20 years and you're a little miffed that Steve's not coming around (which, seriously, you should have expected), but man, Holy Personal Questions, Batman.
- So, we've got a serial killer going on here, too? Can we please, for once, have a plot line that doesn't make me have to rewind seventeen times to make sure I didn't miss something?
- You know, HPD seems to come off as not terribly competent a lot on this show.
- Oh. That's right. I forgot. I watch this show for the eye candy and the relationship between the characters. Not so much the plot. That's a good thing to remember.
- Well. I suppose we now know what happens when you push Chin a few steps too far.
- The music when Wo Fat was climbing the stairs was definitely creepy. Props to the audio crew.
- Um, how did Wo Fat get away? She must have had him point blank. And he didn't try to kill her? This makes no sense.
- Adam Noshimuri is a SAP. Sheesh.
- Please do not tell me that the Team let Chin go home alone. Someone must have offered to go with, at least, right?
- At least he knows she's not dead this time? Yeah, I don't know. But I do know that "I'm sorry" probably should have been involved in that first conversation.
- Danny asks good questions. I would like to know the answers to those questions, too.
