I am insanely grateful for my family's low key celebration that basically involves hanging out and watching football/other tv and then eating dinner. Just me and my parents, and it's pretty much just like any weekend day around here. No arguing, no drama, no travelling, no food policing, no tension, no excitement (outside of perhaps playing a board game, which I might float as an idea at some point). It's a beautiful thing, let me tell you.
