Thing the first: So, I was listening to Mumford and Sons this morning in the car as I went to the pool and as I was singing along at the top of my lungs, as you do at 5:30 am, I realized that "The Cave" would make a great Team fan-vid for either NCIS:LA or SGA. If I knew how to do such things, I'd do it. But it fits both teams pretty well.

Thing the second: I have a draft of my first Purim Gifts fic. It is 600 words over the limit. But, it fits one of the things my recipient particularly likes/suggested, and it has a graphic. I mean, at 1600 words, I could split it into two parts and call it 2 fics and be within the word limit. However, hagar_972 insisted that the idea could easily be done in 1000 words and I believe her, so I will apparently be slashing and burning the thing tomorrow (aside to Hagar- I may attempt to rope you into this endeavor, if you're amenable to reading a fic from a fandom you don't follow. Actually, aside to everyone- if anyone wants to find 600 words to cut in a Hawaii Five-0 fic, let me know. I'm happy to let you take a crack at it. Wordy girl is wordy).

You know, I almost did just send it to you last night with a "help!" message attached. And then I thought I should ask first. But, apparently, no, huh?

*eyeroll* You're on my beta list. Yes, to get to just send me various fics you're working on. I'm probably not going to beta something long in a fandom I don't know, but something like this? Pfft.

Also, email/IM me about the possibly-10k-words idea and we'll see if it can be done in a 1k format. (Well: if it's reasonable to set a 1k goal for it given all other parameters.)
