At my window, sad and lonely
Jul. 6th, 2013 10:34 pmMy dad had an eye doctor appointment yesterday afternoon, so he needed someone to drive him (he needs to have his eyes dilated when he sees the eye doctor). So, I left work early (no big deal, nothing was happening anyway) and played chauffeur. Well, he and Mom had plans to go see a band that one of Dad's coworkers is in, so I wound up going with.
His coworker is about my age, and the band was playing in the community space of a large grocery store, so there were lots of families with small kids there (mostly friends of people in the band). So there I was, in a room of people who are mostly my age or slightly older, almost all of whom are married/partnered with babies. And I'm there with my parents, who are lovely people, but they're my parents.
I am so lonely. And I don't even know where to start to not be anymore.
