Apartment!!

miss_lucy21So, today at lunchtime, I went to put in an application for the first apartment I saw on Saturday. It only took me 45 minutes to drive there, talk to the apartment manager and take care of the paperwork and get back to work, and that included a little detour because I, uh, turned the wrong way onto the highway and had to turn around (I get on the same road to go home, and I go west on it to peel off to the freeway. To get to this place, you need to go east. I got confused).
The apartment manager called me back about an hour and a half later to tell me I'd been approved for the apartment! And I only had to put down $300 for the security deposit, instead of a full month's rent (which is what I'd budgeted).
I am moving out of this house. On April 1st. To a two bedroom apartment with lots of closet space in a building with an elevator so I can live up on the third (top) floor, which I like, because it's usually quieter, and you usually get more of a breeze up there. I am pretty excited.
