Mar. 11th, 2014 07:56 pm- Discussion between my body and my brain last night:
Body: Why are we going to bed at 7:30pm?
Brain: We're not. It's 8:30.
Body: But it feels like 7:30.
Brain: I know. But the alarm is going off at 4:45 am, so we really need to go to sleep.
Body: But I'm not sleeeeepy.
Rinse. Repeat until about 10:30pm.
Alarm goes off at 4:45
Body: What the everliving fuck is this? Why are we getting up at 4 am?
Brain: I told you.
Me: both of you shut the hell up.
Yeah, the gym did not happen this morning. Trying again tomorrow.
- Apparently, when I take a day off work, things get a little...overwhelming for other people. Mostly this is because we have a contractor and a new person and they both require more help/supervision when you ask them to do things, whereas, my boss just hands me things and I just do them. I do not feel at all bad about this, but it was a little alarming to be greeted this morning with "thank God you're back" when I was only gone for a day. I have a feeling the first week of April (the week I took off for moving) is going to be all manner of fun for people.
- Went for my allergy shot today, first one since the bad reaction. So far, so good. The shot room nurse thinks what happened was the person who was in the shot room that day (who was not the usual nurse) bumped the dose from .2 to .3, which is generally the increase that most people would have. However, the usual nurse said that she probably would have gone with .25 because I'm...not normal. Idiosyncrasy is my middle name.
