How I spent my Sunday:

1. Went to church. I've determined I go to church 25% for the actual worship part of things, 25% to see my parents (we go to the same church) and 50% to get my weekly quota of hugs. Which is interesting, because I'm generally pretty touch adverse if it's not family, but there are several people at church who I pretty much need a hug from each week.

2. Came home

3. Started watching this crazy ass Israeli show that's a cross between a police procedural, a mental thriller, and well, Leverage. I totally blame hagar_972 for this. She's the one who subtitled it, after all (as I quipped to her in an email, the only Hebrew I can reliably recognize is Shalom, Okay, and the names of the judges on The Voice. After roughly 7 hours of this show, I now have two more- Toda and however they spell "Yes"- it sounds like que to me, but that's my Spanish creeping in, I think).

4. Nothing. It was after 5pm by the time we finished watching (Hagar started watching with me around episode 6 because she couldn't resist a rewatch. We had to pause every time we wanted to say something on chat, though, because I couldn't read subtitles and type at the same time, so it took us a little longer than it would have otherwise). Fortunately, I really didn't have anything that I absolutely needed to do today, because I don't think I could have stopped watching in the middle if I'd had to.

Ken = yes, lo = no. That's about as much as I know, too, for most of the same reasons.

ah-ha! I couldn't hear the n sound. And I somehow never caught "no". I'll add them to the very short list :)

The word is "Ken" but they indeed mostly pronounce it as "Que". Though never used in written language, this is basically "Yeah".

Good for Kitten. It's one of the best shows I ever watched, and I can't wait for season Two to start.

Yeah, I've been ruminating on it all day long. So frustrating. I mean, at least I could binge watch it and I didn't have to wait a week in between, or I'd probably be tearing my hair out even more...
