Maybe an upswing?
Nov. 9th, 2014 08:07 pm1) A thing that has helped this week (which was worse than last week) has been playing a mosaic puzzle game- it's a grid of squares with numbers along the sides and you have to figure out which squares are mosaic tiles and only click those squares. The particular game I'm playing has Christmas imagery, so I can't recommend it for everyone (I find it reasonably ignorable- most of the puzzles themselves have nothing to do with Christmas- but I'm only vaguely annoyed by Christmas stuff and I know many people have stronger feelings than I do), but if you google World Mosaics, you can get an idea of what I'm talking about. It's got soothing music, it requires just enough thought to be distracting, but not so much as to be overwhelming (I'm playing on easy mode. And I stop playing when I start making more than one or two mistakes per puzzle so I don't get too frustrated). And the colors are kind of pretty.
2) The making breakfast/lunch thing worked well last week, so I did it again this week.
3) I went and got a massage to get rid of the three week tension/sinus headache that's been going on. My muscles were so tight that the massage therapist almost couldn't move my skin freely to begin with. She did a really good job, although she was very o_O that I'd had a headache for three weeks (it was a tension headache. It wasn't going to kill me or anything. I was hoping it would go away. It didn't.) I have signed up for the discount program with this massage place where I can get a massage every month for a fairly significant discount. I was already thinking about it (I've been to this place before) but the fact that things were this bad this time (she found trigger points that I was completely unaware that I had and I had thought I knew where they all were by now) got me to push the button. I am hopeful that if I do this more regularly, I will maybe unlock things enough that maybe they can be maintained.
